POCO F3 and X3 Pro: new flagship gravediggers?

If the POCO F3 is not particularly distinguished by its design, it is a fairly sober and classic device, on the other hand it puts the package on the technical sheet with a SoC Snapdragon 870 compatible 5G. This is a variant of the Snapdragon 865 that was found on most high-end smartphones last year. It benefits here from a higher frequency that can reach 3.2 GHz, which is enough to obtain very good performance. It is coupled with 6 or 8 GB of RAM depending on the version and 128 or 256 GB of space.

On the display side, POCO doesn’t do things halfway by integrating a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with high 120Hz refresh and 360Hz touch sample rate for maximum responsiveness. The screen is also HDR10 + certified and achieves a maximum brightness of 1300 nits.

To complete the whole, there are also two speakers on the front, a 4,520 mAh battery compatible with 33W charging and a complete photo module:

  • 48 MP main sensor
  • 8 MP ultra wide-angle 119 ° sensor
  • 5 MP telemacro sensor
  • 20 MP front sensor

POCO X3 Pro: some concessions

With the POCO X3 Pro being more affordable than the F3, it’s no surprise that the spec sheet is less impressive.

It is equipped with a Snapdragon 860, a powerful chip with a 7nm engraving and a rate of up to 2.96 GHz, but which is only 4G compatible. There is a 6.67-inch screen at 120 Hz, but it is an LCD technology and not the Amoled as on the F3. Likewise, the brightness is much less important since it is limited to 450 nits. It comes with 128 or 256 GB of space and 6 or 8 GB of RAM. Finally, on the photo side, it is a module with three sensors at the back of 48 Mpx + 8 Mpx ultra wide-angle + 2 Mpx ToF and a 20 Mpx sensor at the front.
