For years, the 59-year-old man, known as Adam Sandler (who has nothing to do with the actor), wandered from one tourist spot to another, replenishing his RAP list along the way.

In each city, Sandler dresses up as a Sesame Street character and places himself in a crowded area, inviting visitors to take pictures with him. Once they do, “Evil Elmo” often launches into vulgar rants, conspiracy theories, or anti-Semitic rants, especially if his clients refuse to pay for the photos.

“At first glance, it looked like it might be fun to take a selfie with him,” said Michelle Roberts, a tourist who came to Santa Cruz. News KSBV. “We got to the back of the dock in the allotted time and that’s when we saw him come out, fussing and making faces.”

Several residents and tourists have already complained about Sandler’s behavior to the Santa Cruz police.

“We get calls from people saying he’s ‘scary,'” Santa Cruz police spokeswoman Joyce Blaschke said. News KRON4. “Based on his history, we advise the public not to contact this person. Get away from him.

Who is behind “Evil Elmo”?

Sandler already had a long history of anxious behavior before he showed up at the docks in Santa Cruz.

In 1999, Cambodian authorities expelled Sandler from the country after he created a pornographic website called “Welcome to the rape camp” that featured videos of non-consensual sex.

In 2012, the NYPD arrested Sandler for disorderly conduct after he erupted in anti-Semitic rants in Times Square, allegedly in response to some customers forgetting to tip him.

“I myself am Jewish,” Sandler told The New York Post in a bizarre statement following his arrest. He claimed that the people who refused to tip for the photographs represented “Jewish business interests”.

In 2013, the NYPD rearrested Sandler after he attempted to extort $2 million from his former employer, the Girl Scouts of America. The New York Times reported at the time that Sandler emailed the Girl Scouts and “threatened to spread the false story that Girl Scouts regularly arrange sexual encounters between men and her campers if he didn’t get the money.”

The courts sentenced him to a year in prison, and two former employees issued restraining orders against him.

Sandler then received significant media coverage as a San Francisco street performer. Several residents have complained that “Angry Elmo” makes them feel unsafe and uncomfortable, and according to Door SF, San Francisco police arrested Sandler in 2014 after he allegedly yelled at a woman, “I’m going to a slaughterhouse.”

Cookie Monster “Evil” arrives in Santa Cruz

Currently, Santa Cruz appears to be Adam Sandler’s home, and the police want to make sure he doesn’t cause any trouble in the city.

“He is exercising his First Amendment rights,” Santa Cruz Wharf said in a Facebook statement. “However, if you have any concerns about inappropriate behavior, or if he claims to have been hired by the city or company, you should contact the Santa Cruz police immediately.”

But while several people in Santa Cruz have already come forward that Sandler is stalking victims on the dock, law enforcement can’t do anything until Sandler commits a crime in the city and “Evil Elmo” hasn’t done anything illegal yet.

“He wants to make some money, most likely through the hardships of life, and has found a way to earn a few dollars by giving photos to people,” a local named Nick Padron told KRON4 after taking the photo with Sandler. “He didn’t look so bad at the time. (I) even made him laugh a little.

The Los Angeles business owner who reported the beating of Sandler in 2016 shared his thoughts on Sandler with The LA Times: “I wish he could get some help. I don’t think he belongs on the streets… Nobody wants to hear Cookie Monster say he’s going to kill his family.
