PS5 Pro and upcoming Xbox series coming soon? Exit window has been mentioned

Given that Xbox One and PS4 were eligible for more powerful models (PS4 Pro for one, Xbox One X for the other), it seems clear that Microsoft and Sony Interactive Entertainment will act the same way for their successors. Moreover, within the conference hosted by TCL Technology, PS5 Pro and the upcoming Xbox series were mentioned, as reported by Maciej Zablocki of (via Tom Henderson). According to the Chinese electronics giant, the machines should arrive in 2023-2024 and will focus on 8K. That’s not all, as it is stated that they will ship the Radeon RX 7700 XT, the next GPU from AMD, which will be based on the RDNA 3 architecture. If the claimed performance level is similar to the RX 6900 XT, AMD, on the other hand, indicated that ray tracing would be better managed.

At this point, neither Sony Interactive Entertainment nor Microsoft have suggested mid-gen consoles are in development, but if TCL Technology has drawn slides highlighting them, it’s likely because it plans to develop TVs made for them. Moreover, the crisis of electronic components is far from over, and we rather imagine two manufacturers in order to have stocks at a rendezvous. In some industries (for example, automotive), we expect a return to normal from 2023. In any case, this TCL Technology conference held in Poland echoes recent rumors that studios already own a PS5 Pro development kit.
