Culture news PS5 x Nike: Collector’s sneakers are coming soon
Two pairs of Nike sneakers paying homage to Sony’s new machine will hit the market very soon.
A few years earlier, the American player of the Los Angeles Clippers team Paul George inaugurated a collaboration between Nike and PlayStation for his range of sneakers signed Nike PG. Following models that paid homage to the PlayStation 1 or the DualShock 4 controller, two new pairs, predominantly white or blue, will soon be available bearing the image of the PS5. The colors are obviously reminiscent of the console menu, while the sides and back of the shoes feature the PlayStation 5 logo.
Price side, we expect a price oscillating around 119.99 euros, as for the other models of the range. As officialized by the media Laceup who also shares a whole slew of images, the PlayStation 5 x Nike PG 5 will be available in May 2021. The exact day remains to be determined. And just like every great collaboration, the stock will come in limited edition.
Side consoles, we recall that the Japanese manufacturer reports 7.8 million PS5 sold this fiscal year, including 3.3 million distributed during the first quarter of 2021. A record figure for a console launch. Sony made a profit of 8.9 billion euros a year, two billion more than the previous year. It is the gaming division that reported the biggest: more than 2.6 billion euros in profits.
