As the launch of PSVR 2 approaches, the founder of Oculus is praising Sony’s new virtual reality headset.

In just one month, Sony will officially unveil the next generation of virtual reality with the release of PSVR 2. There will be about ten games at launch, including Horizon: Call of the Mountain, Resident Evil Village, The Dark Pictures: Switchback. VR or even Gran Turismo 7, this second version of PlayStation VR promises to be really impressive given the early reviews. Including for the founder of Oculus.

Oculus founder amazed by PSVR 2

Indeed, in response to a tweet posted by Shuhei Yoshida, Palmer Lucky assured that he was “overwhelmed when[il a] Recently used PSVR 2.” “The first PSVR was arguably the biggest hit of the generation. [et] this version will be even better,” he added. Suffice it to say that it’s not every day that we see such an exchange, because, remember, in the absence of the PlayStation, it is Oculus (now Meta Quest) that largely dominates the virtual reality market.

Of course, it should be noted that Lucky has not been with the company for several years. However, it’s still extremely satisfying for Sony, which has managed to curry favor with what is considered one of the forerunners of VR with its new headset. Now we can only hope that gamers will agree when PSVR 2 finally becomes available to everyone.

As a reminder, PSVR 2 will go on sale on February 22nd. It will be sold for 599.99 euros separately, then for 649.99 euros bundled with Horizon: Call of the Mountain.
