QNAP TSh1290FX U.2 NVMe/SATA with NAS Flash

Storage design and manufacturing company QNAP this week unveiled its first AMD EPYCbased U.2 NVMe/SATA AllFlash NAS enclosure for 25GbE collaborative work environments. The TSh1290FX is the company’s first PCIe 4.0 and U.2 NVMe/SATA NVMe/SATA flash NAS tower in a mere 368 x 362 x 152.7mm and 12 bays.

Equipped with 8/16core AMD EPYC processors, integrated 25GbE and 2.5GbE sockets, PCIe Gen 4 expansion and up to petabytes of storage capacity, QNAP says the TSh1290FX can handle dataintensive and latencysensitive applications.

“Today’s businesses and studios don’t need to dedicate entire rooms to host hot and loud servers, and that’s where the TSh1290FX comes in. Exceptional performance, housed in a unique tower form factor and using silent cooling, is delivered by a serverclass processor, U.2 NVMe allflash SSD, and QNAP enterpriseclass QuTS operating system,” said Jason Hsu, QNAP product manager.” .

“With its sleek design, highly scalable storage, and nearsilent cooling, the TSh1290FX (dimensions: 368 x 362 x 152.7mm) is ideal for SMBs and video editing teams for highspeed backup, collaboration, and video editing workflows .

To streamline workflows, the TSh1290FX provides direct connectivity for up to 20 PCs/workstations when using QNAP PCIe network cards. It is fully compatible with mainstream software solutions and can handle bandwidthintensive tasks such as realtime 4K/8K video editing and coediting. Its fanless CPU cooler and nearsilent 90mm system fan also provide efficient cooling without distracting noise, making it ideal for integrating into modern work environments.”
