Gaming hardware and peripherals maker Razer has unveiled its latest lightweight gaming mouse this week, introducing a new version of the Viper Mini Signature Edition with a magnesium alloy chassis. The Razer Viper Mini Signature Edition weighs just 49g and features Razer’s “bestinclass technology”. “We set out to create the lightest and most powerful gaming mouse,” said Barry Ooi, Head of Razer PC Gaming. “We went beyond our usual design process to consider material choices and alternative industrial designs to create an ultradurable magnesium alloy exoskeleton chassis in the fanfavorite Viper Mini shape. As a result, the Viper Mini Signature Edition weighs just 49 grams without compromise, making it the lightest mouse we’ve ever had.”

“Each Viper Mini Signature Edition unit is built with an injection molded exoskeleton, which is then CNC machined and polished. The exoskeleton shell is then passivated to reduce any susceptibility to corrosion, after which it is painted and assembled.
