Rings of power: Elon Musk takes on the series “The Lord of the Rings”

Elon Musk isn’t really a fan of The Rings of Power, the new Amazon Prime Video series set in the Lord of the Rings universe. The Tesla boss and along the way the richest man in the world took up the program without hesitation.

Elon Musk has problems with The Rings of Power

“Tolkien is rolling over in his grave,” Elon Musk tweeted about Rings of Power. “Almost all male characters at the moment are either cowards or jerks or both. Only Galadriel is brave, smart and kind,” he added in another tweet.

Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos (founder of Amazon and ex-boss of the online retailer) have been business rivals for several years, so it’s no surprise that the former is so critical of the product in connection with Amazon. Their rivalry currently extends to rival space ventures SpaceX (Elon Musk) and Blue Origin (Jeff Bezos).

Regarding the audience, critics were divided. It seems that the majority have a positive opinion. But at the same time, some criticize what they see as the awakened side, especially with actors of color who they think don’t fit with the universe at all. For others, the problem comes from a rhythm that is considered too slow. For the third actors in general, they do not play very well.

On September 2, Amazon Prime Video released the first two episodes of Rings of Power. It was a success in terms of the audience: 25 million viewers in the first 24 hours. It also set a record for a program on a streaming service. Now every Friday there will be a new episode.
