On Saturday, from 11:00 to 18:00, it will be possible to play, discover and discuss the world of video games.
As you know, video games take up more and more space in homes. Either the children or the parents. This passion also extends to MJC of Rodez who, in the stream of associations that make it up, has a video game club organized around Minecraft and Super smash Bros. In this context, Irwin Strasser, MJC’s Digital Advisor, organized this first meeting dedicated to video games. An appointment that gives pride of place to the games that enchant the club.
Thus, this Saturday from 11:00 to 18:00, on the one hand, the Super smash Bros Ultimate tournament will take place. This is a 64 player tournament with a cash prize for the winners. Admission 10 euros, seats must be booked at start.gg.
And on the other hand, from 14:00 to 16:00 you can visit the MYUK in Minecraft. The Minecraft Club MJC of Rodez has indeed been working all this season to reproduce the building in the game, its creation will be available for free and free to visit in a digital space accessible to everyone.
The debate is also about the impact of video games…
But also, still in the digital space, the video game club offers free and open access to various games and consoles of all generations, so that the public can try some classic and obscure games. Snes mini, PS2, Nintendo Switch and Steam deck will feature games of all kinds.
After the suggestion to have a great day at the games, the organizers nevertheless forgot about the impact of these, especially on children. That is why from 4 pm to 6 pm they offer a coffee debate called Video Games in Childhood. In the MJC digital space, questions such as: “What is the place of video games in today’s childhood?” will be addressed. and “what impact do they have on learning?”.
Busy day around video games for this premiere at MJC in Rodez. Who could name others…
Entrance is also free and free. Information by phone 05 65 67 01 13.
