Roller Champions should be discontinued soon, a few months after its release.

We could almost predict the fate of Roller Champions since the beta launched. The game has never truly captivated players, and today we learn that Ubisoft is due to end support for the title just a few months after its release.

Roller champs may have only lived for a few months

Roller Champions was announced in 2019, and after some delays, the game was finally released in a free version with microtransactions on May 25, 2022. But free-to-play doesn’t seem to have found its audience and still seems completely abandoned. According to Jeff Grubb, Ubisoft should soon stop releasing the game.

The journalist spoke about this in a recent XboxEra podcast. According to him, Ubisoft’s roller derby game should end after the third season.

Ubisoft recently indicated that the game performs better than Hyper Scape, another free-to-play game from the publisher that was also put on hold due to lack of success.

If Roller Champions does stop after Season 3, there will only be a few months left to play this game before Ubisoft no longer supports it.

This week, Ubisoft announced the cancellation of Ghost Recon: Frontline, Splinter Cell VR and two other games, as well as the postponement of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora to 2023. however, since The Division: Heartland and XDefiant are still in the program.
