Romerike: 40-year-old man charged with paying a boy under 18 for sex – News from Norway

The Romerik man was charged with possessing offensive materials and paying for sexual services to four people.

According to the indictment, one of the four is a boy who was between 16 and 17 years old when the man started paying him for sex.

The Romerikes Blad newspaper writes that the man was also initially accused of paying tens of thousands of crowns for offensive material on the dark web. However, that charge was dropped and the man is now charged with possession of 35 images showing sexual violence or images of child sex.

A man in his 40s who has held senior positions in several Romerike sports teams was arrested along with nine other people in a major police operation in April this year.

His lawyer, lawyer Gunhild Lerum, does not currently comment on the indictment.

“He explained himself to the police and will explain himself in court,” Lerum told Romerikes Blad.

One day was set aside for the consideration of the case in the Regional Court of Romerik and Glomdal in December.
