[Rumeur] Towards a return of Twisted Metal in the game?

This comes from Andy Robinson from VGC who often has good info.
Last February Sony confirmed their live-action series for Twisted Metal, but there may also be a game.

Following this article where David Jaffe says he would be very disappointed if this Twisted Metal rumor was true
Because he was the co-director of the first and would not understand why Sony would not have asked his opinion or simply to warn him that the game is in development.
But he didn’t hear anything about this rumor. Anyway, he doesn’t believe it too much.
