Samsung is one of the only, if not the only, manufacturer to really compete with Apple in the tablet segment. The firm is said to have planned to work harder in 2022 with the launch of a full range. We are talking about a Galaxy Tab S8, but also a Tab S8 + and a Tab S8 Ultra. They arrived early next year alongside the launch of the Galaxy S22.
A Galaxy Tab S8 range early next year?
According to the first disclosures circulating, the Tab S8 will have an 11-inch LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an 8,000 mAh battery. It will be necessary to switch to the Tab S8 + to take advantage of a panel with AMOLED / 120 Hz technology in 12.4 inches with a 10,090 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 888. The Ultra version would finally benefit from a 14.6-inch screen and a 11,550 mAh battery. We can also expect a high-end SoC.
According to the latest data published by Strategy Analytics, the tablet market represented 45.2 million units in Q2 2021, up 5% compared to last year. The iPad still dominates with 35% of PDM and sales up 11%. Samsung makes 18% of shipments (+ 19%). The strongest growth, however, came to Lenovo with an increase of 67%.
