Samsung Electronics today released the Samsung Internet 19.01 beta, which provides powerful new features to help protect users from online threats from trackers and make the Internet experience more convenient than ever. The beta version is available for download on the Google Play Store and Samsung Galaxy Store.
“Trackers are becoming more sophisticated to evade detection and collect personal information without the knowledge or consent of the person being tracked,” said Yanghyun Yong, executive vice president and head of S/W platform, Mobile eXperience Business, Samsung Electronics. “We want users to have the safest and smoothest browsing experience possible. That’s why we’ve improved Smart AntiTracking to give users more control over their privacy so they can surf the web with peace of mind.”
Smart AntiTracking features have been enhanced in Samsung Internet 18.0 to help prevent crosssite trackers from using tracker blocking bypass methods. This smart tracking protection prevented trackers from using advanced redirection methods such as canonical name escaping (CNAME) or delayed bounce to collect user data.
