Samsung unveils the Odyssey Neo G9 curved display made for gaming

Odyssey Neo G9 is likely to make waves

In terms of gaming monitors, Samsung offers innovative and cutting edge products. The South Korean manufacturer does not deny with the announcement today of the new curved screen Odyssey Neo G9. The Odyssey range is indeed expanding with a gaming monitor equipped with Quantum Mini LED and Quantum HDR 2000 technology.

This is the same technology that powers televisions in the latest Neo QLED range and offers a crisp, vibrant picture. At 1/40 the height of a conventional LED, the Quantum Mini LED has incredibly thin microlayers, filled with more LEDs. Enough to enjoy every detail of the most beautiful video games, even those in pixel art.

Samsung’s Odyssey Neo G9 features a 49-inch curved display (1000R) with a 32: 9 aspect ratio. The design is still futuristic and we wonder how the manufacturer manages to fit all this technology without compromising it. We always find the same refresh rate at 240 Hz. The monitor is also compatible with FreeSync technologies from AMD and G-Sync from nVidia. The HDMI 2.1 connection is present as well as 2 USB ports and a jack to connect your wired headphones. No announcement on the price, but we can bet that it will happen very quickly: the opening of pre-orders is imminent.

“At Samsung, we are committed to demonstrating our leadership in the video game market by delivering new and immersive experiences,” said Pat Bugos, vice president and head of consumer electronics for Samsung Electronics Canada. “With the launch of the Odyssey Neo G9 this year, we are delighted to continue our momentum with a state-of-the-art gaming monitor for Canadian consumers.”
