It was during the anti-rodeo operation that the police of the specialized field brigade intercepted the driver of a Peugeot 206 on the boulevard du Moulin-à-Vent in Cergy (Val-d’Oise). It is now 19:10, Wednesday, September 14th.

While officials are asking the driver to show his driver’s license and vehicle documents, he is particularly tense, shaking violently as he hands over the documents, police say.

Lack of license and bales of hemp

The latter believe that the motorist does not have a driver’s license and that the vehicle is not insured. But that’s not all. During the check, the police noticed a strong smell of cannabis in the car. They notice behind the driver’s seat a bag with several bundles that look like drugs.

A search of the vehicle confirmed that it was indeed five bales of cannabis resin with a total weight of 5 kg.
