The robot dog that brings balls to Madrid was out of shape.
The Madrid Masters often tries to innovate to keep the tournament entertained and visible. A few years ago, organizers tried ball collection dummies (too sexist), then blue clay (failure. Players didn’t like the surface, too slippery). In 2022, the experiment will focus on a robotic dog that brings balls to the court before matches.
Let’s be frank. Skyner and the Terminator, not yet, well, not a robot dog from Madrid who decided to take a nap in the middle of a field. There is no way to move it again, so two security people took care of it. It wasn’t the plan.
