Sonos Voice Control coming in June, new Ray and Roam speakers introduced

Sonos confirmed this week that it will be launching its new voice control service in a few months on June 1, 2022. Designed to allow Sonos owners to control their devices, the new voice control service is no competitor to Google Assistant. , Siri or Alexa and will be distributed worldwide as a free software update.

In addition to announcing a release date for its new voice control service, Sonos also unveiled new speakers expanding its home theater and portable lineup. Sonos Roam offers an ultraportable Bluetooth speaker and is available in three finishes Sunset, Wave and Olive starting today for $179.

According to Sonos, the Sonos Ray speaker is a compact soundbar with “impressive sound for its size.” The Home Entertainment Soundbar will be officially launched on June 7, 2022, priced at $279.
