Last May, Sony announced the Xperia 1 IV, a smartphone that looks to be focused on both photos and video but also has the components to play games effectively.
The device is now equipped with a new gaming accessory called Xperia Stream XQZ-GG01 to keep it cool in case of heat.
Mobile fan with lots of connectors
With the Xperia Stream, Sony aims to increase the comfort of gamers when they spend hours playing with their smartphone. The accessory is primarily ergonomic. In addition to better grip on the phone, it also has multiple connectors.
There is an HDMI port for PC game streaming, a LAN port for faster Internet access via a wired network, a USB-C port for charging your smartphone, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Ventilation, however, is the main function of this accessory. In a sense, it is a mobile fan that a user can connect to their Xperia 1 IV to keep it cool and avoid possible performance drops during long gaming sessions. Game Enhancer interface to control fan speed, response time and refresh rate, etc.
The Xperia Stream will sell for around 166 euros when it is released in Japan. Availability in Europe is currently unknown.
