It cannot be disputed that Hideo Kojima (creator of Metal Gear Solid) had always had a good relationship with Sony. Even though some of his experiences were accessible on other platforms as well, their home had always been the PlayStation.
But recently, rumors from rather reliable sources say that it is Microsoft which would publish the next title of Kojima Productions, following the rejection by its partner of always.
It is the insider Shpeshal_Ed, known for his many righteous indiscretions, who declares in his latest Xbox Era podcast that the talented creator first went to Sony who turned down the project, dissatisfied with the sales of Death Stranding, forcing him to knock on other doors like Google Stadia and Microsoft.
Several sources said over the weekend that the deal between Kojima Productions and Microsoft should be revealed soon. It is true that last month, the artistic director of the studio, Yoji Shinkawa, had confided in an interview that their next game was going to be unveiled “very soon”.
