So scheduled to arrive on Xbox Series and PS5 on July 12th, Hellpoint won’t be coming to the latest versions of Microsoft. Finally, this is just a story of a few days.
The action RPG from Cradle Games, first released in 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, appeared in the Switch and Stadia catalogs a year later. And now its appearance has touched the next generation of consoles. But if on July 12, 2022, a novelty from Sony can already present it, then for the Xbox Series X / S everything is different.
Slight delay of a week or two
It won’t be until a week or two after the PS5 launch on Microsoft’s Hellpoint machine. The difference in position is due, as the development studio points out in a press release, to the “technical features” of the console.
However, the Blue Sun DLC (released on the same day) can also be accessed by Xbox Series owners. But for now the game is compatible with the Smart Delivery feature (i.e. Xbox One copy including next generation hardware upgrade), players only need to settle for the Xbox One version before they can view the optimized version.
Hello Hellspawns.
The Xbox Series version of Hellpoint was due out tomorrow, July 12th. This version of the base game will be slightly delayed due to platform technical issues. We currently plan to launch it within one to two weeks. Watch for announcements. This delay will not affect the launch of the Blue Sun DLC. If you own an Xbox Series, you will be able to play the DLC tomorrow as planned using backwards compatibility and Microsoft Smart Delivery. Likewise, saves from Hellpoint games on Xbox One will be compatible with the Xbox series.
Obviously, this has been a difficult decision for us here at Cradle Games and for our publishing partners, tinyBuild. We apologize for this delay and hope for your understanding. As always, let us express our endless gratitude for your support and love. We have the best community we could ever dream of. Step forward with courage.
