This summer will mark the return of E3 in a brand new, fully paperless format. Developers and publishers still have a few weeks to announce their participation, the event being held from June 12th. Thus, initially absent from the list distributed a few weeks ago, Square Enix finally affirmed its presence through the voice of its president.
Indeed, at the turn of a question asked by the media Nikkei, Yosuke Matsuda spoke about what is happening in 2021 on the side of the famous Japanese publisher:
We will announce the rest of our line-up [plus tard], and we’re also planning to make an announcement at E3 in June, so please stay tuned.
The company thus joins Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games and Koch Media among the participants. Square Enix recently launched its new digital event format titled Square Enix Presents and has already announced a new broadcast during the summer. It is therefore possible, like Ubisoft and its Ubisoft Forward, that the conference integrates the schedule of E3. It could also be that it is a single announcement and that it is done at the manufacturer. At Xbox or Nintendo for example.
See you a little before June 12 for the probable start of the festivities!
