
Star Trek: Lower Decks will return to TV this summer, and the first trailer for the new season promises more laughs in space.
Show creator Mike McMahan unveiled an all-new Bottom Decks Season 2 teaser trailer after the Second Contact panel during the Virtual Global Tournament. Day of first contact Celebration today (April 5) with the streaming service Paramount +.
McMahan also announced that Lower Decks season 2 will premiere on August 12, 2021, in 10 half-hour episodes, just like the first season. And it was renewed for the third season! In case you missed the first season, it will be released on Blu-ray on May 18th.
True to form, the teaser is composed mostly of chaos as we see Warrant Officer Boymler (voiced by Jack Quaid) battling for the helm of the USS Titan under seemingly insane barking under the command of Captain Riker (voiced by Jonathan Frakes), along with the film’s editing … Bizarre, fast-paced clips featuring angry aliens alongside Warrant Officer Mariner (voiced by Tony News), Warrant Officer Tendy (voiced by Noel Wells) and Ensign Rutherford (voiced by Eugene Cordero), as well as something like the new Miranda-class starship, USS Macouff 18

Also announced today on Twitter is that Paramount + will donate $ 1 for every person who tweets #StarTrekUnitedGives, to organizations “that advocate equality, social justice and scientific advancement in the real world.”
Fans can stream First Contact Day panels for free on StarTrek.com/FirstContact… The panels will also be available for free viewing in the US on PlutoTV and Paramount + Twitch page. After the first run, the panels will be available upon request on the Paramount + YouTube and Paramount + channels.
