As with many high-end video games with billions of dollars of intellectual property, such as Star Wars, there are issues during the testing phases that reveal certain issues that need to be addressed before they are released to the global market.
This appears to be the case for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: it was announced online on Wednesday (February 1) that the sequel’s launch date would be pushed back six weeks for further fine-tuning, debugging and polishing. Here is the statement released by game director Stig Asmussen via the official EA Star Wars website. (will open in a new tab) Twitter account:

Survivor is best described as a single-player quest that follows Jedi Knight Cal Kestis and his BD-1 droid buddy as they face off against Imperial forces in an attempt to protect the galaxy from an invading evil. As they cross the space lanes in an attempt to escape the Empire’s relentless wrath, Cal finds new allies such as the mercenary Bode Akuna and his former crew member Cere Junda.
Check out the gameplay summary:
“The continuation of Cal’s journey. No longer a Padawan, Cal became independent and grew into a powerful Jedi Knight. Carrying with him the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order, his crusade against the Empire became even more dangerous. Dark times are coming – with new and familiar enemies surrounding him, Cal will need to decide how far he’s willing to go to save those closest to him.”
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Windows on April 28th.
