Supermassive Games (Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology) is working on an unannounced multiplayer title

Having become adept at creating interactive adventures and multiple-choice narratives, Supermassive Games seems to be moving towards something entirely different for its next project. In fact, Gamesradar media broadcast a job offer seen on the studio’s website for a “Multiplayer Game Designer” position on an unannounced project. The offer is still available here.

Among the essential skills required, the successful candidate must have experience in “online systems”. They must also master the integration of social functions such as “guilds, events” and be familiar with what an online multiplayer game does today, namely “balance, online savings and lag compensation”.

Note that a local and online multiplayer component is built into the Dark Pictures Anthology titles. However, reading through the skills required to apply, it appears that the studio is keen to deliver a more field-focused experience than before. The future will tell us what Supermassive Games has in store for us. But in the meantime, the studio is working on The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me, the next version of its horror game anthology.
