Teen arrested for leaking GTA VI

London police said they arrested a 17-year-old man for hacking. The teenager is believed to be responsible for the video footage leak from Grand Theft Auto 6, as well as the attack on the Uber taxi service.

British police cooperated with the US FBI in connection with this arrest and for the moment are content with the statement that the teenager was detained for hacking. According to a number of media reports, it will be the one who stole and published images of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 game from publisher Rockstar earlier this month. The same attacker also claimed to have hacked the Uber taxi service. At the same time, screenshots of internal computers and source code were leaked.

These two attacks were uncovered two weeks ago. Uber itself said in a press release that it was the victim of blaming the Lapsus$ cybergroup. They started talking about the latter at the beginning of the year, launching attacks, in particular, on Microsoft, Samsung and Nvidia. Last March, London police already arrested seven suspects in the case, most of them teenagers.
