Thanks to AI, Nutraveris facilitates the development of products in nutrition and health

Nutraveris, a regulatory, scientific and marketing consulting firm, supports companies in the development of products related to nutrition and health. Founded in 2006, the Saint-Brieuc SME is today a world leader in this market niche.

Although Cédric Bourges knew how to surround himself with a team with highly complementary skills, the manager, a doctor of pharmacy by training, also anticipated the potential of new technologies in this market segment. Nutraveris (35 employees) has developed a digital platform that today contributes strongly to the growth of the activity.

In 2020, Nutraveris achieved a turnover of 2.8 million euros. For 2021, 3.5 million euros are planned. “In addition to consulting services, this software solution allows us to industrialize our experience with actors in nutrition, health and food supplements,” explains Cédric Bourges.

Generating reports and labels

The Nutraveris Online solution is structured in two modules. The first brings together a regulatory, scientific and marketing database that allows companies to quickly access this type of updated information for Europe, Asia and the United States. This module is complemented by a Saas regulatory audit solution.

“Since 2018, we have integrated into it an artificial intelligence that allows, from a list of ingredients, to generate a compliance report and the labeling of the product according to the different regulations. Nol Compliance allows our clients to accelerate the commercialization of products ”, sums up Cédric Bourges. In addition to the audit, the platform provides the appropriate label with claims, nutritional table, legal notices or even specific warnings according to the regulations of each country where the product will be sold.

Accelerate in Asia

Today, Nutraveris counts groups like Nestlé, Décathlon, Lactalis, but also Swiss, Sanofi and Coca-Cola among its clients. “In 2021, we will reach about 66% of our business internationally, including 20% ​​in the United States. Our ambition is to accelerate in all of our markets, and particularly in China, with the support of Foodchain ID.”

Because since July 2020, the Briochine SME has been bought by the American group Foodchain ID. Presented as a leader in the certification of companies in the food sector, the group thus consolidates its positions in Europe. While this acquisition strengthens Nutraveris business resources, it also gives it new access to regulatory data in other countries such as Asia to enhance its platform.
