Modern Warfare 2 is coming very soon and more and more details are starting to emerge. And in a recent gameplay video, Infinity Ward hinted that the famous killing streak could be making a comeback.
The title Modern Warfare 2 evokes a lot of memories for longtime CoD players, whether it’s an iconic weapon or favorite maps that are still remembered today.
So it’s not surprising that there’s hope that Modern Warfare 2 (2022) will bring back many of the most popular features from the first part of 2009.
And recently, a new trailer suggests that one of the franchise’s most iconic murder streaks may be making a comeback.
Will the AC-130 return to Modern Warfare 2?
Infinity Ward released a short video on social media to promote the campaign’s early access. And immediately, fans noticed the familiar sight of the AC-130 destroying the building.
The AC-130 first appeared as a series of deadly kills in MW2’s multiplayer mode and many later versions, sometimes under the name “Attack Helicopter”.
Based on these images, we can assume that the new campaign mission will place players behind the AC-130 turret. So it’s possible that the AC-130 will also be available as a killstreak in Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer.
Back in 2009, players had to get 11 kills in a row to get that gruesome kill streak that could turn the tide of the game.
However, it’s important to clarify that these are all speculations, as Infinity Ward has yet to confirm if the AC-130 will be used in Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer mode.
However, we’ll likely find out more when Call of Duty Next releases on September 15th and the beta starts the next day.
