THD launches War Room, cybersecurity for everyone | THD – broadband access in Tunisia

In all digital technologies, cybersecurity occupies a prominent place. This helps protect all kinds of data from usurpation, theft or misappropriation. This becomes especially important when it comes to sensitive data such as personal information (such as address, name or medical records) or intellectual property.

Without a cybersecurity strategy, your organization will not be able to defend against data breach attempts or cyberattacks. Moreover, it becomes one of the easiest targets for cybercriminals. They are becoming more and more sophisticated, which makes them dangerous to consider.

Whatever the nature of your business, you must take the necessary precautions to stay safe online. Cybercriminals are better at protecting themselves and their attacks are becoming more resilient to traditional cyber defenses.

Cyber threats can indeed come from anywhere and from anyone. That is why we must be aware of the importance of protecting ourselves. For example, you should beware of phishing emails that try to steal your information, or guard against ransomware attacks that can crash your computer.

Attacks can target things like electrical grids and other infrastructure, or people’s identities, causing very costly damage, especially for companies, and astronomical profits for hackers. Cybercrime is also becoming industrialized. Remember, the date is the new black gold.

To better understand the problem, THD released a web series that we called War Room. The six-episode War Room introduces you to the world of cybersecurity through the most dramatic incidents and the decisions we must make to protect ourselves in a global and digital world.

Topics range from social crimes (crimes of a social nature and cyberbullying in particular) to trafficking in personal data on the dark web, through industrial crimes and financial crimes.

Produced in partnership with the Ministry of ICT with the support of Huawei Technologies. This mini-series is hosted by actress Rabeb Sriri and cybersecurity expert Dr. Mohamed Hamdi.

The broadcast date for this series will be announced soon. In the meantime, you can get to know the War Room guests and get an idea of the topics discussed by watching the mega-trailer here.
