Tehran (IQNA) – The 16th International Holy Quran Memorization and Reading Competition will be held in March 2023.
According to the Qiraat Competitio news site, the competition will be hosted by the Islamic Foundation of Toronto and will feature participants from North America.
These competitions are organized every year by the Islamic Foundation of Toronto to encourage young Muslims to memorize the Quran in order to establish and strengthen their connection with the Quran, and this year the 16th edition of this competition will be organized.
The Islamic Foundation of Toronto organized the first edition of these competitions in May 2006 with about 60 Canadian readers and judges.
In later editions, a women’s section was added.
