The 27-inch iMac gets a complete makeover, under the hood

Apple has just announced an overhaul of its

27-inch iMac which doesn’t touch the design but changes just about every component or
options inside. It is available now from 2.099

On the menu of “classic” evolutions, new processors, cards
graphics and storage capacities. The real novelties are to be sought
on the FaceTime HD 1080p camera side and the optional availability of a
nano-textured glass screen, like the one on the screen

Pro Display XDR, which ” improves viewing quality in all conditions
brightness, whether installed in a very bright room or, at
contrary, in a darker space
Apple says. It takes 625
euros to add this option to the Retina 5K display (5.120 x 2.880 pixels)
of the new iMac.

Other developments for the 27-inch iMac

  • Upgrading to 10th Generation Intel processors, up to Core i9-10

  • AMD Radeon Pro 5000 graphics card;

  • Generalization of SSD storage up to 8 TB (double the capacity
    previous maximum);

  • Up to 128 GB of DDR4 RAM;

  • Added Apple’s T2 security chip which immediately encrypts
    contents stored on the SSD;

  • True Tone display that automatically adjusts the color temperature
    the screen to adapt to the ambient light;

  • The same studio-grade microphones as the

    16-inch MacBook Pro.
