The Montreal Canadiens added the names of goalkeeper Jake Allen and defenders Ben Chiarot, Jeff Petry, Joel Edmundson and Chris Wideman to the NHL’s COVID-19 list on Monday.

Goalkeeping coach Éric Raymond also abides by circuit protocol in relation to COVID-19.

Their names are in addition to those of forwards Laurent Dauphin, Mike Hoffman, Artturi Lehkonen and Tyler Toffoli, who were already on the protocol.

As a result, goalkeeper Cayden Primeau and defender Corey Schueneman were removed from the Laval Rocket. Forwards Brandon Baddock and Cam Hillis, defender Gianni Fairbrother and goalkeeper Michael McNiven have been added to the reserve team and will accompany the team to Florida.

The Canadian has a date with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night.

It will be their first game since Dec. 16, when they defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 in a shootout. His next four games were postponed due to outbreaks of COVID-19 in the NHL.
