You might be interested to know that the Google Safety Engineering Center (GSEC) development team has created a new privacy guide offering an overview and step-by-step guide to existing Chrome privacy and security controls in the Google Chrome browser.

Google’s new privacy guidance will begin rolling out for Chrome browser version 100 or higher in the coming weeks. We highly recommend checking them out if you are a Chrome browser user as they will provide you with more information on how you can surf the web safely while protecting your online privacy and preventing unwanted third parties from tracking your browsing habits and other personal data. .

“As you navigate through the Privacy Guide, you’ll learn the “why” of each setting and how it affects your browsing experience so you can easily understand what’s going on. For starters, the Privacy Guide will include controls for cookies, history sync, safe browsing, and improved search and browsing. As we receive feedback from the community, we may add additional customizations to the guide over time.

You’ll soon see a new Privacy Guidance card under the Privacy & Security tab in Chrome’s settings, which can be found by clicking on the three dots in the top right corner of the browser. And don’t worry if you don’t have time to go through the entire tour at once. Your changes are saved on the go, so you can revisit them whenever it’s convenient for you.”
