As Nintendo and Sony entered the mini-console market with the NES, SNES, and PS1, many wondered why Microsoft wasn’t doing the same with the original. Xbox. Well, Seamus Blackley, the creator and designer of the first Halo platform, It looks like he’s already doing something similar, but with streaming.
Earlier today, Blackley asked his Twitter followers if they would like to see an “device that looks like the first Xbox (…) and ONLY plays original Xbox titles“. However, the designer has not confirmed that this is a reality.
If there was a device that looked like this that ONLY streamed and played OG Xbox games, would you want it? Ask a friend. pic.twitter.com/8LqjbTJBas

Fortunately, there is a precedent for this. In 2016, Blackley asked fans if they wanted an Xbox One controller in the design of the original Xbox controller, known as the Duke. Two years later, this idea materialized. In this way, It is possible that in a few years we will see an Xbox mini that manages to work in streaming. Nothing has been confirmed by Microsoft, but this possibility has not been denied either.
