The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood Chapter Releasing In June

As detailed on the Bethesda website, this chapter will take players to explore the plans of Prince Mérunès Dagon, 800 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Blackwood will offer a main scenario of more than 30 hours that will take us to the walls of the imperial city of Leyawiin, passing through the Shadowlands swamps, the Niben forest and the Blackwood region. Bethesda also promises many side quests, a new Trial for 12 players (Rochegrove), ergonomic improvements, dens, public dungeons and other bosses, but also a notable novelty: the companion system. This will allow you to recruit, travel and fight with an NPC with its own character and history. These allies, whose behavior in combat can be configured, will use customizable equipment and will also see their skills improve.

If the story of Blackwood has its own conclusion, its events will advance the overall storytelling of Gates of Oblivion, the new annual saga that begins in March with the Flames of Ambition pack. Expected more exactly on March 8 on PC / Mac and Stadia then March 16 on PlayStation and Xbox, this DLC will therefore launch the Gates of Oblivion saga with new dungeons that will introduce players to the threat of Mérunès Dagon. This year-round saga will then continue with the release of the Blackwood chapter in June, then a dungeon pack in the third quarter and finally a zone pack at the end of the year that will take players to the culmination of history, in the heart of the Mérunès Dagon estate.

For those who want to embark on the adventure, The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Blackwood includes the base game and all additional chapters (Morrowind, Summerset, Elsweyr, Greymoor and so Blackwood) at a price of 59.99 euros on PC or 69.99 euros on consoles. As for players already engaged in TESO, the chapter upgrade Blackwood will cost them 39.99 euros regardless of the platform. Details on the different editions and pre-order bonuses can be found on this page.
