The Last of Us Part I, expected in early September on PS5, will also be eligible for a PC version in the following months. And while a release date for the latter remains unknown, the game’s developer says it’s coming “very soon” after the console version.

From the start of the school year, lucky PS5 owners will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in The Last of Us Part I, a remake of Ellie and Joel’s first adventure. However, let’s not forget that Naughty Dog took advantage of the game’s announcement to reveal that the license is also coming to PC soon, thus joining other big names from Sony like Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War or even The Human. -Spider Marvel. And if we still don’t know the exact release date for the game on PC, we know, however, that we won’t have to wait very long.

The Last of Us Part I Coming ‘Very Soon’ to PC

In response to a user’s post on Twitter, one of the developers, Jonathan Benainus, did state that “the PC version should arrive a little later, but very soon after the PS5 release.” In other words, we can potentially expect The Last of Us Part I to hit PC by the end of 2022 or early 2023 at the latest. However, let’s still take a step back from that statement, because the same was said for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, and six months later, a PC release is still not in sight.

As a reminder, The Last of Us Part I will release on September 2, 2022 on PS5. Last week, Naughty Dog revealed a lengthy gameplay video that introduces new features we can look forward to. If the gameplay doesn’t offer any major upheaval compared to the original version, the studio will still announce that the AI has been overhauled and that DualSense controller features will be supported. Very scarce new items that did not fail to revive the debate about the price of the game, which at launch will be sold at 79.99€.
