One of the personalities of The Last of Us saga is leaving the Naughty Dog team to join that of other video game heroes.

John sweeney was one of the artistic directors of The Last of Us Part II, and also made his name in the DLC credits of The Last of Us: Left Behind and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End as a concept artist. Today, he joins the ranks of Insomniac Games, recently recognized for the Marvel’s Spider-Man license. The information was spotted by our colleagues from Gamekult, directly on the concerned Twitter page. His departure, which dates back to November 2020, has not yet been explained.

For his part, Neil Druckmann, newly appointed co-president of the studio Naughty Dog (Uncharted, The Last of Us), has been teasing a little for a few hours and announces on Twitter: “Come work with us! We’re doing something really cool!” To accompany the tweet, a recent post from the studio displays a number of job postings. Already in July 2020, the team was looking for new talents capable of working “on the next generation of graphics“, for a “solo gameMore precise details are now awaited concerning the future projects of these two renowned companies.
