Although 2020 has not been one of the best years for many people around the world, the video game industry has seen the best in its history and it has improved with the launch of very important games. Like every year, various ceremonies are organized to reward the best titles. One of the most important, the DICE Awards will take place very soon and today the list of nominees has just been unveiled, led by 2 PlayStation 4 exclusives.
As every year, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) will organize its awards, which this year will be the 24th edition. The title that captures the most attention on this occasion is The Last of Us: Part II, which is positioned as the favorite of the ceremony with a total of 11 nominations in 10 categories.
“Congratulations, dogs!” Studio co-president and writer Neil Druckmann tenderly spoke to Naughty Dog employees upon hearing the news. “To be nominated by other developers is a great honor.”

Ghost of Tsushima also won the nominations
Another title that is also shaping up to be one of the most awarded is Ghost of Tsushima, which managed to receive 10 nominations. Without a doubt, the surprise is Hades because being an independent title he managed to get 8 nominations, and Marvel’s Spider-Man continues: Miles Morales, Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Half-Life: Alyx with 5, Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition with 4, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, Dreams and Final Fantasy VII Remake with 3.
As in previous ceremonies, the selection was made by board members and members from companies or video game studios, such as Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, Epic Games, Ninja Theory, among others. That said, as Druckmann points out, the 57 nominated games were chosen by members of the development industry. You can see a full list of finalists on this page.
AIAS members will be able to vote starting today, January 26, and the awards ceremony will take place virtually on April 8 at a time to be determined.
