Game news The Legend of Heroes saga will continue its road to the West, 4 games announced

It was as part of the anniversary streaming celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Nihon Falcom company that the announcement was made. In total, four games will land in our regions, including a recent one released last year in the land of the rising sun.

This is an announcement that should delight fans of the Legend of Heroes franchise who longed for access to a location of games from the Dragon Slayer spin-off series. Not very widespread in our regions, the series has nevertheless managed to unite an audience that is both loyal and passionate.

It is therefore natural that the company Nihon Falcom made the decision to offer a location for Western fans. Among the lucky ones who will benefit from this preferential treatment, we find: The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero (2010), The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure (2011), The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails (2012) and The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie (2020).

These four games have been announced for release on Switch, PS4 and PC and will be exported to the West in the fall of 2022 for the first one listed, and in 2023 for the other three. For this localization, Falcom joined forces with NIS America, a partner which notably enabled it to carry out this project.

Asked last year about the future of the games of the Legend of Heroes saga in the West, the president of Nihon Falcom had declared that there was ” definitely room for us to consider other titles in the future “.

Two years: the wait may seem long. Nevertheless, the most impatient can turn to the latest episode to be released in our region, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV. A game, released on PC, PS4, Switch and Stadia, which collected a very correct 15/20 in our columns.
