Daedalic announces that the next stealth game based on the story of Gollum’s character, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, has been pushed back a few months.
This decision was made in order to give the players the best possible experience by giving the development team the necessary time. The studio announced this on Twitter. The original release was scheduled for September 1st, so we may have to wait until the holiday season to enjoy this fantastic new adventure in the Lord of the Rings universe. The game could also be pushed back to 2023, as there are already several others originally scheduled for 2022.
The Lord of the Ring: Gollum is a stealth game featuring a little-known character from J. R. R. Tolkien’s franchise, Gollum. The action takes place before the plot of the main series of books. In the stealth game, combat will be limited. Instead, you’ll need to infiltrate several iconic Middle-earth locations and inventively kill your opponents. There will also be a morality system in the game, which will allow you to listen to the good voice of Smeagol more or play pranks with Gollum.
