Two years ago, Ubisoft surprised by offering an exclusive party game, Raving Rabbids, to coincide with the launch of the Nintendo Switch in China. We suspected that sooner or later the game would get the right to release in the West… And now The Rabbids: Party of Legends will be officially released next month on Stadia, Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. As the rabbits spin the washing machine, they are mysteriously transported to a mythological world of chaos inspired by the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. In this multiplayer board game, the rabbits must fight their way through the chaos and find their way home.
Rabbids: Party of Legends includes 50 mini-games in which players must strike silly poses, knock down opponents, peel chilis, show off their dance moves, and more. Up to four players can join locally, either 2v2 or free for everyone. Players can also create custom playlists of their favorite mini-games, and AI difficulty levels are also customizable, making the game accessible for all ages and fun for the whole family.
The Monkey King and his associates Pigsy, Sandy and Tripitaka must retrace their steps to send themselves and the other rabbits home. The story unfolds in four acts, each of which occupies a separate area of the playing field and takes players on a journey through the mythical realm.
The Ubisoft Chengdu development team took inspiration from traditional Chinese imagery for Rabbids: Party of Legends and worked on a fusion of Eastern and Western sensibilities, blending an integral part of Chinese culture with the nature, light, strange and sometimes brash Rabbids.
Rabbids: Party of Legends launches June 30 on Xbox One, PS4, Switch and Stadia and will be playable on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility.
