The Tokyo Game Show 2021 also remains virtual

No physical edition for the Tokyo Game Show 2021

Like E3 2021, which we told you about yesterday, the Tokyo Game Show will also take place remotely from September 30 to October 4, 2021. Finally, remotely… not quite. According to the press release received today, all the planned presentations will indeed be broadcast live on the internet as last year. But, still according to the document, the press and the influencers will have access to demos “offline in a place that will be provided”. This space for the media will be made available at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo. There will be business stands and other surprises. Although it is not specified, we suspect that it is only open to those already present in Japan. In the same way that the Olympic Games in Tokyo will take place without spectators from abroad.

Like every year, the Japanese event is adorned with a theme. In 2021 it is “Soredemo, bokura ni wa game ga aru” or “We’ll always have games” or “We will always have games”. The Tokyo Game Show will also celebrate its 25th anniversary, the very first edition having taken place in 1996.
