Square Enix has earned a place in the industry for game release with its distinctive Japanese RPG style. One series that has captured this concept very well is Mana (Seiken Densetsu). Although the company has grown and is working on a wide variety of projects, it does not forget its roots and has recently shown great interest in the Mana franchise, and has just announced a remaster of the original title which will have a collector’s edition. , but not it will be easy to achieve.
In 2018 Square Enix released a remake of Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 2) and in 2020 it did the same with Trials of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 3), on top of that in 2019 it released a collection of 3 games from the original series, Collection of Mana, with which for the first time a version of Trials of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 3) is released for America.
Well, the decision to relaunch the franchise seems to be yielding positive results for Square Enix, since in the past Nintendo Direct has confirmed the relaunch of the first installment in the series, Legend of Mana, which arrived on PlayStation, and will return enhanced with a remastered for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

The cool collector’s edition only arrives in Japan
In Nintendo Direct, we were able to see the improved visual section that this new version of the game will feature; What didn’t appeal to fans of the series and the physical format, however, is that the game will only be available digitally through PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, and Steam.
However, the situation will be different for Japan, as Square Enix will not only launch the game in physical format for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, but will also sell it in a collector’s edition that will also include an art book, the group’s remastering. official soundtrack, a Li’l Cactus plush toy and it will all come in a box with a beautiful artwork.
In case you missed it: the remake of Trials of Mana has already sold 1 million copies.
Unfortunately, as we mentioned, this edition is only available at the official Square Enix online store in Japan and does not ship internationally. The one that ships to Mexico and other parts of the world is the North American Store, but this edition of the game is not showing up just yet, which will be priced at ¥ 14,300 (around $ 136).
