Launched via Kickstarter last month, the TinyMaker 3D printer is nearing the end of its campaign and has already successfully raised over $190,000 thanks to over 1,500 supporters. The palmsized, opensource 3D printer allows you to print virtually anywhere, anytime, comes with its own carrying case, and has a userfriendly design. Prepayments are currently available for the innovation project at a special price of approximately £109 to £93 (depending on current exchange rates).
“We have spent over two years prototyping, testing and optimizing TinyMaker. After creating a functional prototype, we made several versions of it. During this period, we completed mechanical design and industrial design. After many assembly tests, we ordered injection molds from the factory. Since the mold had not been polished at the time, it was slightly rough. During this time, we completed the PCB layout. The Atmel chip on the PCB has been replaced with an ESP32.”

If TinyMaker’s crowdfunding campaign successfully raises the required donation target and the fulllength film runs smoothly, worldwide shipping is expected to take place sometime in February 2023. To learn more about the TinyMaker open source 3D printer project, watch the promotional video below.
“We will be working with multiple vendors to complete this product. A problem in any supplier’s supply chain can cause an entire production schedule to be delayed. In this case, we will work hard to promote the solution and look for alternative sources. Currently, international traffic volumes are relatively congested, which can lead to longer delivery times. Of course, we will work with welltrained transport companies to minimize delivery delays and control shipping costs.”
