Tom Clancy’s XDefiant: Ubisoft’s new San Francisco game unveiled

Get ready for Tom Clancy’s XDefiant

Although the French publisher has had to postpone two of its games that need a little more love, that doesn’t mean that nothing is happening at the other studios. Ubisoft is indeed present on almost every continent and this time it is its San Francisco studio that is illustrated with a brand new game, Tom Clancy’s XDefiant. This is a 6v6 team first-person shooter.

Each team is actually a faction drawn from the Extended Universe created by the now deceased writer. We find the Wolves (Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon), Echelon (Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell), the Outcasts and the Cleaners (Tom Clancy’s The Division). Each of them will benefit from different and special abilities that will be all the more necessary to win the game.

The duo who present the game, Jason Schroeder, Creative Director and Mark Rubin, Executive Producer, promise to focus first and foremost on the shooting mechanics, really at the heart of the game. They also promise to allow players to have a real try. quickly in this capacity in the hope of having as much feedback as possible.

We are also promised a wide variety of game modes with team deathmatch, Domination or a more linear game mode with Escort mode. In short, we will have something to do.

Tom Clancy’s XDefiant is also known to be free and available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Ubisoft Connect, Amazon Luna and on Stadia. A first closed test will take place on August 5 for players from the United States and Canada. All terms on the official website.
