Twitter employees returned toilet paper in exchange for Elon Musk’s savings

It’s been weeks since American billionaire Elon Musk took over the reins of social networking site Twitter, buying it for $44 billion. However, the businessman decided on a number of changes in the company, including the dismissal of more than half of the staff. To further reduce the company’s costs, Elon Musk decided to provide less space for staff or even lay off the staff involved in maintenance of the premises. These are radical measures that force staff to behave differently in society.

Persistent “leftover takeaway and body odor” odors

According to the American edition of the New York Times, citing several sources familiar with the situation, the shortage of maintenance staff led to unrest in the workplace. That, along with “dirty” bathrooms, as well as lingering smells of “leftover takeaway food and body odors”. The paper goes on to say that some employees bring their own toilet paper because there are no janitors to replace the missing supplies. I must say that this is not the only measure taken by Elon Musk to reduce the cost of Twitter.

The rich man also decided to close one of Twitter’s data centers in Sacramento, California. As a reminder, this information comes a few days after Elon Musk admitted that he had made mistakes since he became the head of Twitter. In an interview with the All-In podcast on Saturday, December 24, 2022, he said, “My error rate as the top Tweet will be less over time, but we will obviously make a lot more mistakes in the beginning because I am new to it. .. hey, I just got here, man.” He also calculated that there would be fewer mistakes in the future. “I think we are doing a good job and achieving the goal,” added Elon Musk.
