Twitter is testing Notes for longer, richer content – Strategies

06/27/2022 – EG

After already increasing tweet length to 280 characters in November 2017, the social network is testing a new revolution: notes. They allow you to create longer posts (2500 characters) right on the platform, as well as decorate them with links and images to publish in your feed. But they don’t show up in the feed “as is”: to read the notes, the user has to click on them and they will appear. The feature, which is being tested in the US, UK, Canada, and Ghana, could take over streams where users combine sets of tweets to express themselves longer.
