Twitter shareholder is now also suing Elon Musk

A shareholder of the social network Twitter is suing billionaire Elon Musk. Last month, Musk canceled a $44 billion takeover of Twitter.

This is the person who owns 5,500 Twitter shares. He accuses Musk of violating the contract for spurious reasons and wants an agreement to be made. By filing this complaint, the shareholder intends to file a class action lawsuit against the billionaire.

Musk, founder of electric car maker Tesla and aerospace company SpaceX, announced in April his intention to buy Twitter for $44 billion. However, he backed down last month, saying the platform was not transparent enough about the number of fake accounts and spam. Twitter then personally dragged Musk to a judge in an attempt to force the contractor to honor its obligations. The trial will begin on October 17th. We learned last Friday that Musk himself filed a complaint against Twitter. The procedure is taking place in the court of the US state of Delaware, where the Twitter shareholder also filed his complaint.
