Ubisoft announces Ghost Recon Frontline

On the occasion of the special 20th anniversary event for the Ghost Recon franchise, Ubisoft announces Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline, a new free online PvP tactical shooter set in the Ghost Recon universe.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline, developed by Ubisoft Bucharest **, a studio that has worked on Ghost Recon Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint, will offer players unprecedented freedom of focus in the franchise universe with a free multiplayer military experience in premiere. gather up to more than 100 players in each game.

In Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline, players will experience Drakemoor Island, an open world made up of different locations and biomes. The game will feature a wide range of tactical tools, which will offer players total freedom in their game, as well as different game modes. “Expedition” will be Frontline’s main game mode, offering a new version of the classic Battle Royale.

Each game will bring together more than 100 players divided into squads of 3. These squads must work together to complete strategic objectives that they will discover while exploring the map of this immense open world, without the restriction of a smaller and smaller circle. After players have finished gathering information, they will need to go to a drop zone and request extraction.

Once this request has been made, all the teams present on the map will know the position of the extraction and will try to intervene. Players will have to play strategically to successfully escape and win the game. Additional game modes will also be available at launch.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline will feature a unique and advanced class system that will allow players to upgrade and customize their mercenaries to suit their strategy. Three classes of mercenaries will be available during the first closed trial:

  • The Assault class excels in close combat and offensive maneuvers.
  • The support class offers superior protection with fortification abilities.
  • The Scout class can easily scout the area for their squad, revealing and stalking enemies from a distance without fear of retaliation.

Then other classes will be added when the game starts.

Players will even be able to switch mercenaries in the heat of battle, making each game unique and strategic.

To properly celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Ghost Recon franchise, players can download the first game in the series, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, for free from Ubisoft Connect. Additionally, the Fallen Ghost DLC is now available for free to all Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands players and the Deep State DLC is available to all Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint players on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4., Stadia and on PC (Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store) until October 11 ***.

The first closed trial of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline will begin on October 14 for PC players in Europe only. Players can visit ghostreconfrontline.com to register and receive more information and details about the game trials.
