UK Charts: Stock for PlayStation 5, Bravely Default II off to a Bad Start

When you do not have hardwares figures, there is nevertheless a simple way to determine whether a recent and very popular console has been entitled to a substantial back-stock: by looking at the evolution of the software market.

And last week, we have to believe that Sony released a good shipment of PlayStation 5 given the impact on many games:

– “+ 172%” for Spider-Man: Miles Morales (1000 units from having 1st place)
– “+ 123%” for Demon’s Souls
– “+ 64%” for PS5 games (physical) overall.

As for the entries, and as we expected, the J-RPG or what looks like it rarely has great shape in this territory: Bravely Default II starts in 11th place, while Persona 5 Strikers is quietly placed in 5th position, which is almost a miracle when we remember that on the 2017 balance sheet, Persona 5 had arrived in sales… only in 100th place.

If not, The Last of Us II was entitled to a big promo (more or less 25 balls at many dealers), causing a “small” boost of 3992%.
